Description

My favourite family of spiders called Saltacid or jumping spiders.
This one was curious and climbed up a Gerbera flower to get a closer look at me. How can you resist that face.

I was shooting one of these last week and he keep longing like he was going to jump at the camera, I guess that is why they call them jumping spiders. This is an amazing shot Hayden with great detail, color and dof!!!! #1671757

Hi Hayden, Nice to see a new face on BP! I am not here very often but trying to make a comeback. What a fantastic macro of this little guy. I remember the first time I ever saw a jumping spider in person. I barely saw him! Lol. I had no idea they were that small. I'm pretty horrified of spiders. Especially if they can turn their heads. OMGosh! And these can, can't they? Lol...You did a fantastic job. I'd love to get a "micro" (not macro) lens and start taking photos of the unseen world. Wouldn't that be a hoot? Anyway great job and congrats on the finalist. It should have gone GOLD! His little eyes and face are so clear. And his eyes look like drops of chocolate syrup! :))))

Thank you for your kind words, yes they can turn their heads, however they're too small to hurt humans. You should dive into the tiny world of macro. Thanks again.
