I'm so glad you all like it! I was going after a "story". This photo will be sold at an exhibit to help raise money for homeless dogs and cats. I wanted to show a true family.Jean Pierre Candelier September 30, 2005 0
Wow. I never thought I would like a photo of some dirty shoes so much. :)

Margie, this is wonderful! I can't imagine it not having a medal here and great results at the auction. It does tell a story and it just grabbed me when I saw the thumbnail. What an appropriate piece for your purpose! Thanks so much for commenting on my most recent "Little Green Bee" transfer! It led me to "find" your wonderful gallery! #2171641

DiAnna, out of all of my shots, this was always the one that I would have loved to have had a medal under. Not meant to be...but the meaning and feelings are still behind this shot. Thank you so much. #2172279Katrina McMeans December 18, 2005 0
I love this, Margie!!! Very cute and conveys a story too! Great idea and presentation! ; )Margie Hurwich December 18, 2005 0
Thanks so much, Katrina. This one means alot to me. #2197013Kate Jackson December 21, 2005 0
Hi Margie I love this shot too. The only thing that I think might balance up the left hand side would be if the shoe on the far left was pointed inwards somewhat. The arrangement of the shoes on the right is great but I think it is too plain on the left. And I can't believe I am talking about how to arrange a family of dirty shoes!!! #2209159Margie Hurwich December 21, 2005 0
Thanks Kate. I'm finally home from vacation and can't wait to recrop my this picture. I'm hoping to have it done within the next day or so and then re-post on the Q&A. Then I'll get feedback and if possible submit to contest. #2210309Suzy Betancourt February 24, 2006 0

I've tried numerous subjects...the best are the ones that don't move! This was taken for a homeless pet shelter. Their slogan is a forever family. The dog bone says it all. Thanks! #2459400Karen Damiani March 22, 2006 0
Wonderful image Margie! Both eye catching and thought provoking. #2559180Margie Hurwich March 22, 2006 0
