For those who have asked how I made this...
Sepia, Diffused and Porcelain filters were used.
The eye color and feathers were painted in.
I did each step using layers in PS.

All in all, I find the feather areas (lower left) fall a little flat. I don't think (or my eye doesn't expect) the feathers to be as dense as they read. The way the feathers read on the lips of the portrait is more realistic. If the chin could possibly show through the feathers slightly, I think the composition would be much stronger. #1729600
