I am sad to report that the above mushoom has been decapitated this afternoon along with several of her friends and family. There were thoughts of cremation, but their remains have already been scattered, so there is really no need now.

Thanks, Ronald! I guess it was just good timing because I sure didn't plan it! The mushroom was a yellow-topped one with a peachy underside. All it took was a little light from the top to shine through and voila! #811887

My dearest Amanda. An old Chinese proverb states that "demanding one to be honest is to ask the day to reveal its stars". There are many opinions as to what this means, but personally I think it means that seeking pure motive is not easily revealed but we can only trust that it is there. Ultimately we need to trust ourselves with our own confidence in the outcome. You are truly gifted Amanda. Judge your own work. Only then will you be a true Master of your craft. I believe what you are really seeking is praise. And it is deserved. This particular photograph reminds me of a solar eclipse in a giant galaxy the way the light arcs at the edge of the mushroom. I think a good photograph is a good metaphor. In that you have succeeded. And thank you for mentioning your faith in God. It made this photograph a testament to His design, not just of the mushroom and the light, but of making us in his Image with the ability to create things as well. In fact, God's Hebrew name Yahweh means "He who creates or causes to Be". Excellent. Hope to see more of your creative work.
