Morning Thunder

I reworked this one so the detail in the wave is more apparent. Rework and resubmit.... This was taken at Point Lobos State Reserve, January 10, 2010. This spot is called Devil's Cauldron. When the waves push in they can reach incredible heights. This one topped out at about fifty feet. The swell on the right (background) is about twenty feet tall. I am standing on a cliff which is about twenty five feet above the surf. I used Photomatix Pro for the tone mapping.
