Thank you all for the great comments on this picture. Learning about this honor was a pleasant surprise upon return from camping and shooting in the White Mountains in New Hampshire last week. The shot was taken on a trip to Alaska where I spend a week just shooting bald eagles. I literally crawled slowly on my belly to get close enough for this shot -- a moment I will always remember. #7901700

Hi Albert. I want to congratulate you on your gorgeous winner.

I believe this might have been taken in Homer. My favorite spot on the whole earth. I lived in AK for 38 years, and spent all my holidays on the Homer beach, until we moved to Alabama in 1994. I sure miss it.
