I've been asked by a few people about star trails....I'm not that experienced at them (yet)....but here's a few urls to help..the only other thing I can add is take a good spotlight with you because it will be hard to line your horizon up so you'll need to find something with a vertical line in it...use the noise diffusion setting on your camera and take a heap of coffee
