Dancing Sunflowers
Uploaded: January 05, 2004 09:23:45
Shot at Great Sand Dunes National Mounument, Colorado. Technical information: Shot on Kodachome 64. Apeture: f22, shutter: 1/2 on a tripod, late afternoon with rain and thunder on the horizon. I had this slide scanned at 4000 dpi, cloned out dust, and used the curves and hue/saturation tools of Photoshop 7 to make the digital file look as clsoe to the physical slide as possible. This image contains no physical or digital manipulation of any sort.

Before I read your description I was sure this was a combination of images. Who'd have thought sunflowers could grow in sand? :) It's an awesome capture, so very well composed! :) #84989

This has such a wonderful mood to it, Matt - the flowers are 'dancing' and it's such a unique expression of the dunes there. Congratulations! #383639Alisha May Furbish February 17, 2004 0
