I agree Connie, This is really nice.
I'm very attached to labs we just lost our black lab last summer but we still have a chocolate lab. This should be entered in a sportsman context.

Fantastic image.
The pose is beautiful, with the head turn they eye is the focal point.
I'm led to look over the pup's shoulder into the field and rich blue sky.
Marvelous editing work.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I have to admit that this is my favorite piece. I really did not do anything special. The work was done in Picture it Publishing. I layered the photos and then using the touch up tools applied a transparency to all but Sasha allowing the field to show through. A few people have suggested that I change the blue tones on the dog but I like the look it gives the shot. Thanks again, and I hope I have answered any questions. #71756

Fantastic work! It almost looks like a painting vs. a photo. You did an excellent job combining the two photos and I think the dog’s blue tone works well and compliments the blue sky. I love the close-up angle of this; it just pulls you right into the photo. #397628
