Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

This is a massive Canadian Chateau style hotel commissioned originally in 1887 by Van Horne, Canadian Pacific general manager as a "Mountain Playground of the world" for the rich and famous. Although the railroad was re-routed the hotel has gone from strength to strength.
