In the middle of the madness of Singapore's Chinatown, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum is a beautiful oasis. The outside is rather unassuming, but once inside, the amount of red with gold leaf is absolutely amazing. With some 10000 Buddha figurines housed in individual mini-altars. As a means to raise funds for the upkeep of the museum devotees are allowed to become donors and sponsor their own mini buddha altars. A look at one of the walls is shown here.

Heavens, that's a lot of altars, Rey! Marvelous details and rich colors leap at the eyes from every direction, and this is just ONE of the walls? I hope you brought a lunch, so you could sit crossed-legged and admire them all. Excellent pov and composition. (What else?) Superb capture! #11475574
