Frightened by Mascots
Uploaded: January 11, 2015 02:51:19 | Entered: January 11, 2015 02:58:18
This little terrified boy was photographed two years ago at the Philadelphia Red Cross Holiday Party, and I consider it to be one of my best candid portraits ever. He had just arrived with his grandma and was in the hallway taking off his coat, when along came three gigantic mascots in costume: Fred Cross, Gentry (fire dpt), and Buddy the Blood drop. They closed in too close on him and he was terrified. In this photo, he is crying and clinging to Grandma. All the kids who are invited had experienced a house fire during the year.
The photo was reworked with a slight grunge effect from OnOne.
Exif: F Number: 2.8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/125 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 16000, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 57.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark III
