A Faceful of Flower
Uploaded: April 28, 2014 16:52:40 | Entered: April 28, 2014 16:52:40
Captured last year in my garden - a monarch-to-be caterpillar is having the time of it's life feeding on my tropical milkweed. About 100 or so (no exaggeration) of these hungry fellas covered my plants - and also ate every stem, leaf and flower, leaving just a skeleton of the plant behind. Voracious critters....but glad to help out the next generation of migratory monarchs heading down Mexico way.

Wonderful capture Val. I see you had a nice crop of aphids too. Need the ladybugs to move in and take care of them. Nature is so fascinating, and you've captured a nice quaint part of it all. #11034160Nadia Paul April 29, 2014
