DICY SPICY [Pictures of Spices & Seasonings]

A village shopkeeper selling Indian spices. How happy and contented looking he is? No customer, still happy because he is being photographed. I took this picture 18 long years ago in a small village near Varanasi.

He looks Happy and Proud, Rakesh! What a wonderful piece of HISTORY you have presented here tonight! I love this image, what a story it tells!!! #368877Margaret Sikora January 04, 2006
This is a cooks paradise, and I agree with DARRYL it is history, it is a great shot. #2250248Kate Jackson January 04, 2006
It certainly is a great shot. I love all those colours of the spices. I trust he or someone else is still around selling in a shop like this and will be for years to come. It would be a travesty to see a supermarket in his place. #2250272Paul Michko January 04, 2006
What a great shot, Rakesh. I hope he is still smiling today. :) #2250283
