During the rainy season in the Philippines, rice paddies are soaked with water for at least a month so that they can till and churn the Earth using the Water Buffalo, nowadays we use the Mechanized Tiller in preparing the soaked soil for planting the Rice Seedling, a very labor-intensive undertaking, to which I am very much aware of for I use to plant Rice the same way they are planting now.

Growing up, we had rice with every dinner (altho my dad ate it with every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner!).
