I have been playing with creating my own textures and this is my first creation. This is an old image of mine with texture added :)

Hayley I really like the texture you've added here, it's a great shot EITHER way~ #5468569Peter W. Marks February 09, 2008
Hi Hayley! I guess I see this image differently than the others. I much prefer not to have the texture- it is way too distracting and takes away from the subject and I am puzzled over what this was intended to achieve.(this is meant kindly, not sarcastically) The kid with his model aircraft is great. For me it is a very good example of an image that stimulates my imagination. That you have not included his head or face adds to this. We cannot see what is holding his attention or what his expression is so it is our own imagination that fills in the blanks and for this guy at least anchors my attention. "is he staring at a real plane leaving a vapor trail across the sky? Is he watching a swallow swoop and turn?" We don't have to know the answer, we can just nostalgically relate to our own childhood and smile. #5468622Denise M. Snyder February 09, 2008

This is a great capture, Hayley. I didn't see the original so can't compare with or without texture. Either way, I love it. Your images are very inspiring. #5484290Steven E. Ray February 20, 2008
If you haven't done so already, your photography should be published into a coffee table book. This photo is simple, yet a profound composition capturing the essence of the title relayed. I can sense the bond of his small hand wrapped around the toy as if an intimate friend. Very nicely done Hayley! #5524497Hayley J. Hamlin February 20, 2008
