Yellow and Red II

06/17/07, Miyazu, Japan. Did a little walkabout in town today, visiting neighbors' gardens to see what's sprung up, and ending at the small river that runs through town into the bay, where I hoped to catch some egrets doing some late afternoon fishing. No egrets, but on the way home saw these beauties, and though I changed the distance mode on my Canon 100-400 L, neglected to change from bird in flight settings to my usual macro flower settings in RAW. When I realized my mistake, it was too dark to take more than a couple more and went home disgusted with myself. However, I was happily surprised when I got them up on the computer screen. Although not in RAW, they fared better than the few I was able to take in my usual way!
