Bridging Time [America Pictures Alaska Pictures ]
Uploaded: May 20, 2003 23:02:17
Built in the early 1920s to facilitate the traffic to the gold fields in the interior of Alaska. The road was moved in the 1950s and it is now only a foot bridge for a scenic trail. It was engineered and built in one month and still stands strong. The photo was difficult because I was in the mountain's shadow and shooting into the valley where the sun was shining.

I'm sure I'll see more of your wonderful landscapes as I continue to filter throught he finalists, Gary. This one is a bit different, but outstanding, considering the exposure challenge you must have faced. #114030Wolfgang Dolak May 26, 2019
