FIRE!!!!! [Fire Flame Pictures ]
Uploaded: November 10, 2011 01:50:16
The cannon was fired perhaps five times during the re-enactment. In NO CASE did my naked eye EVER see the flame shooting out the barrel. BOY...was I surprised when I discovered my CAMERA caught it! But WAIT! There is MORE! One of the people in our Photo group posted this IDENTICAL capture. The flame was there, the puffs of smoke were identical in every respect. Facial expressions were caught at the same nanosecond!

There's good timing and there's great timing, this falls under the latter. A great stop action photo. The expression on the guys face to the left, priceless. I case anybody (Jack) wants to know what I want for Christmas one of these cannons would do nicely. #9795121Douglas Pignet November 10, 2011

Like a lot of little boys I have always loved things that go bang, smoke and fire are a bonus lol..( I am thinking back to the good old days when a kid could go into the five and dime and bring out an arm full of fire crackers)Mary Timman November 10, 2011

KABOOM *Michelle*!You have made an old armourer's heart very happy with this shot. I had a good time when I was working with the Artillery during my time in the Aussie army.
The Rammer yelling out "FIRE!" is the icing on the cake.

Great capture. The flame only last milliseconds in duration, which is why it is rarely captured in our cameras. Testing a trigger right now to see what it would take to always capture the flame. Part of it depends too on how much powder is being used. #10243946Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
