Excellent work on this wonderful image Rakesh ! I like your decision to put this mother and child in the "spotlight". I would also really much like to see the original, as I know I would enjoy the colorful clothing... #2525747Mary E. McCabe March 13, 2006
Rakesh, this is a classic shot and should go in a book - you know that National Geographic is running a thing they call Your Shot and the first theme is "Where I Live." Check it out at www.ngm.com/yourshot. I do believe though that they only want straight shots, but maybe the original of this one would be just the ticket. Mary #2526687Kate Jackson March 13, 2006
I agree with other comments that would like to see the original of this. In my opinion I think that in this version you should only have brought back in the colour of the Mum! I think it would have stood out more! But I hate to make suggestions to a master like you Rakesh. Please forgive me. I do admire your work so much. #2527195

Outstanding capture and post-processing, Rakesh!!! #2529126ALLEN O. HOWARD March 13, 2006
No, No, No! the very first thing that grabbed me was the color in the thumbnail. I opened it up and it is spectacular! Right down to the child with her arm's stretched out across the bar. In looking at this beautful image and making this decision to not color one but THREE people shows a more dramatic edge to the B&W, which stands on its own. To Rakesh from a dumb struck Allen, AWESOME! #2529731ALLEN O. HOWARD March 14, 2006
