About David G. Boyd
I'm strictly a hobbyist, but I've enjoyed taking pictures since my days in Vietnam. My first SLR was a Mamiya/Sekor DTL-1000, but after abot 18 years of great service with that camera, I moved to Minolta when they first came out with autofocus. When I decided to go digital, Canon was all that was available (the original Rebel), so I'm now a Canon shooter. My progression was from a Regel, to a 20D to a 5D and finally to a 1DsMkIII. I'm a retired soldier now working as a senior executive/scientist in Homeland Security. I live on a beautiful 80 acre plot with a pasture, six horses, some variable number of barn cats, two ferrets, a cockatu, four dogs, two barns and lots and lots of trees. I've been married 41 years to a wonderful lady, and have four children and four grandchildren. My other hobby is amateur radio.
