In this case the "less is more" worked out nicely. I love to look for little details like the lock to photograph while traveling. Thanks for your encouragement. I will submit it sometime.

I really like the colors. The subtle orangish spot in the center of the lock also adds interest. Nice simple composition. Enter it your local contest for sure.

Linda, what do you mean by "digital filters"? Is that something you're using in PS, or some other program?

Yes, I used a PS7 filter as I mentioned in my comments that went withthe posting of this photo. I used the posterizer filter on this one. Sometimes there is a big change in the imagealong with the color shift. This time it did not alter the details in the image. I really like this treatment better than to origional capture.
