Hi Brinn and Thank you! Actually it is a treatment you can apply to any photograph you already have printed. I used it on a polaroid but have done this with prints. If you have the type of peel-apart polaroid film to do this with great .. if not grab any print made from 35mm film, or 120 film, etc. It is a medium I discovered while watching a program on altered books. Anyway, The Omni Gel is by Mona Lisa and if you goto Mister Art or www.misterart.com they have it for the best price I have found. It is similar to decoupage medium but there is something different about it. I use their suggested process of applying it vertical, let dry, horizontal, let dry then diagonal (either direction doesn't matter). Then I let the print dry for about 1/2 hour. Then you peel off the paper in the back, may need a little elbow grease.. I sometimes use a scrubber sponge gently. Try not to get the front wet as the Omni gel weakens and starts to come off your photo. Then I apply it to 140lb watercolor paper with the Omni gel. Then I apply whatever coloring I want on top. I used an old jar of antiqueing paint that I had from when I used to do some gold leafing but I found a wonderful website with stamp pads that are made for photo tinting and I'm going to try that next. They also have wonderful foam for application of the dye and they are called: blockheadstamps.com and the ink pad is Distress Ink, Vintage Photo color. Also recommend the Cut n' dry foam. (ps.if you do manipulations they have a wonderful bone tool as well called the Funny bones creaser). Back on the subject: apply the vintage tint or antique paint and wipe to make the grain of the gel and paper backing come through. That's it I think.
