Thank you, Karen, Kelly and Donna. Right, Donna: The weather is getting warmer here in Norway, so I've got some extra energy now (yes, it's a multiple self portrait: Fun, fun, fun :-))

Andre Marhaug
Thanks, Leah. I have no secrets, - I'm here for sharing :-). I will try to explain, in my limited English:

I used a tripod, and then I shot a lot of pictures with a remote control while I was jumping in different styles. It's important that the tripod is steady, so the images have the exact same background. It's also important to turn off the autofocus, and use the flash in manual mode (so the depth of field and the lightning are equal in the different shots).

Then I made two pictures with flying selfportraits, mirrored one of them, and pasted it to the other one (that's why the resulting image have this mirrored look).

To finish it all, I took a third picture (face portrait) and pasted it as a new layer, with the mode "Dodge" at 38%.

The flying men are painted from one photo to another with clone brush (it's important that the clone target and starting point are at the exact same pixel).

Some work, but it's fun :-))

Thank you for the nice congratulations Darren, Audrea, Nancy, Sherrie, Dale Ann (:-), Lori, K, Jennifer, Karen, Kristen and Judy.

I'm overwelmed, and really happy that this weird image (self portrait) went all the way to a 2:nd prize!. It's cool to know that a little bit of healthy crazyness is appreciated :-)).

Energic regards: André

PS, Darren: Yes, bulls eye regarding the sources of inspiration. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is really awesome.

PS2: When my vacation is over, I'm back with my own member gallery.
