First Ray


	First Ray Sunrise at Schwabacher’s Landing, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. The sun had just hit the top of the mountain. To find Schwabacher's Landing, travel north on Highway 26 (US-89) out of Jackson for 16 miles, past the airport and turn-offs for Mormon's Row (the classic barns). If you travel to the Snake River overlook, you've gone too far. The exit is on the LHS of the road and there's a sign for Schwabacher's Landing. Travel to the end of dirt/gravel road. There's plenty of parking and public facilities. One classic view is right at parking lot. Keep walking on the trail for 1/4 mile and you'll get to another classic view...the one in this photo. There's also a 3rd "classic view." It's actually before the final parking lot, so if you leave the parking lot headed back to the highway, it's about 1/3rd mile from the parking lot, on the RHS. Just get out of your car and follow the trail. Ken Smith
