Cost of Developing Film and put to CD? (UK)
Hi guys, does anyone know how approximately it would cost to have my film developed and put on a CD? Do I get the negatives back this way too? I'm from the UK btw. Thanks.

No one can really answer that for you, especially most of us who are a continent away. Can't you just check with a place in your area that develops film and ask them? I can answer the second part - yes, you will get your negatives back even if you have your images put on a CD.

Hi Darren, Looking about on the web UK photofinishing sites: Photofinishing prices are variable by location. You best bet will be a chain drug store. Typical is 8.00 to develop and print a roll of 35mm color negative film. To transfer to CD expect 4.50 Money is Euro dollars. Extra prints 0.50 Shop around for better deals. Alan Marcus

Thanks guys, it cost me 3.50 so not to bad. I thought the resolution would be a bit higher though = 1840 x 1232. So would this depend on the scanner they used or the film I used or both? Is that a typical resolution after they put it onto CD? Maybe I can ask them for a higher resolution next time? Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it.
