Photography Question

Joanne E. Bohenstengel

Changing size of picture.

I just uploaded one of my pictures and it shows smaller in size than the others. How do I change the size. I didn't do anything differently that I am aware of.

I just looked at your gallery and it doesn't look any smaller than the others to me. The amount of space allotted to each image seems to be determined by the vertical dimension, so if you have two photos with the same crop ratio side by side and one is vertical and the other horizontal, the vertical might well look "larger" to you. Square crop images will look the largest.

when I try to open it, to view it, it is small and the comment box is large.

I didn't try that before and now it appears you have taken it off display?

Well for goodness sakes. Now you see it, now you don't LOL Not sure what happened before, but you are right, it's there now. And I see what you mean about the image being smaller when you go to comment on it. I haven't entered yet today - I'm tweaking what was going to be my entry. I'll just pick another and try it to see what happens in my gallery. Maybe something has changed at the site overnight. Hold on and I'll get back to you.

Nope, mine looks the same as always, even when I open the comment box. I guess the only thing I can suggest is that you double check the size of the file you uploaded and compare it to another horizontal that looks "right" to you. Look at dimensions (width and height in pixels), resolution (dpi), and overall size (MP - megapixels). See if any of these is markedly different from others you've uploaded.
. . . not that I know what I'm talking about LOL
