Photography Question

Julianna J. Collett

My camera has suddenly gone wrong

I noticed in the last couple of weeks that my camera seemed to be off. I shoot manual. In the last few days I was doing a shoot with tripod and the lighting stayed the same but my images went from really underexposed to really blown out in back to back shots even thought the settings were untouched. Tonight I was testing it shooting directly at a large halogen light iso 800 f2.0 s1/250
the image was very dark. Also the screen randomly switches from color to BW. It is an Oly E-510.

I'm not sure a problem like this can be adequately troubleshot in the forums, unless somebody happens to have had the identical problem.

This is a good resource for Olympus:

You might look for a local camera shop with a repair facility. They will usually give your camera a checkup for little or no cost. My local shop can repair most issues (including warranty repair) on the spot or, if not, they will send it out for you.
