Evaluating camera & lens after an accident

My cameras were in the back of our van when we were rear-ended - they flew to the front of the car banging against the dashboard. How or where do I have them evaluated for damage?

  Hi, Carolyn,

I'm not sure what is available in your community, but some cities have camera shops with repair facilities.

I dropped a lens and was able to take it to a shop to me for a clean bill of health.

If you do a search for "camera repair shops" + "your city" you might come up with some good candidates.

Cheers,

RK

Just use them both and see how they do. I would hate for you to pay someone to say everything is fine.

  True, that.

My local camera shop is great, though. They didn't charge anything for the checkout.
