Color settings in CS2 I set my Nikon D50 to Adobe RGB. When I open CS2, I have trouble with color settings. What should be my color settings in CS2 to do a save as for changed images?

Charles, It really depends on a few different things, mostly having to do with how you use images and what you expect -- and how complicated you want your color handling to be. Because it is complicated I have a whole course dedicated to color management: From Monitor to Print: Photoshop Color Workflow The key, really is to make sense with the workflow. If there were just one way to do it right, Adobe would never offer you options. Some people may follow this with settings they use, and that is all well and good FOR THEM. The key to really using color management correctly is understanding it. Do you plan on using an AdobeRGB workflow? Richard Lynch

How do I proceed using an AdobeRGB workflow in the color settings?. Right now it is set to North American General Purpose 2.. Perhaps the course you recommend would be helpful.

The very basics for an Adobe RGB workflow would be to set your RGB to Adobe RGB and RGB handling to Convert to Working. But this ignores the potential issues associated with making that decision. The North American is not listed in CS3 by default, and unless that is a custom profile you are setting the CMYK workspace which won't matter depending on the type of printing you do. Generally that should be a SWOP setting. Adobe RGB does pose some problems for a mixed workflow (where your endpoint is both print and web). Not insurmountable. Richard Lynch
