Scratch on lens

I have a Tamron wide angle lens 11-18. Recently, I noticed a zig zag scratch at the corner of the lens. It appears on all my pictures. I can crop the image to get rid of it. But, is there a way to repair the scratch?

Thanks,

Ken

  Ken,

The picture did not show; but, are you sure it is the lens? If you use filters, it could actually be the filter that is scratched.

Todd,

Thanks for the quick response. I failed to mention for this lens I didn't put a filter on it. All my other lens I did. So I know it's on the lens. I can see it. Any suggestions.

thanks,

Ken

You can probably send it to a manufacturer certified repair shop and they would be able to replace the element that is scratched. You'll have to see how much the repair would cost to decide whether it is worth replacing. If it cost you more than about 50% of the cost of a new lens, it may not be worth it.
