Blue Skies When I shoot an image that includes the sky, even on a clear day it turns out very light blue. So, my question. How can I get that deep, rich, blue sky in my photos. I am hoping to accomplish this with camera settings, not new equipment. Any advice would be helpful though. Thank you for your time.

The answer is, alas, new equipment, but not very expensive equipment. A polarizing filter does a nice job of darkening skies for color photography. If you have an autofocus system you need a circular polarizer. Another help is a blue graduated density filter, but it is trickier to use. For black & white shots, try a yellow or orange filter. - rich@----.net [Editor: be sure to get the size that fits your lens. This is different than the focal length of your lens (i.e. 50mm); go by the size of your lens cap or look for another dimension on the lens, like 58 or 62mm.]
