Camera equipment I am about to purchase a Canon EOS RebelXs with EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6II. Can you tell me anything about this camera. I am very new to photography and know very little. Is this a good starter camera? I am interested in family and wedding type photography and will this camera benefit me? Also what type of flash will I need?

Yes - this is a great starter camera. It will allow you to take advantage of automatic features - such as fast, quiet autofocus - while still letting you get more creative than a point and shoot would. The Canon 540 EZ is a great external flash for this camera.
