New 35mm SLR & zoom lens
I am no longer able to focus or change lenses rapidly and weight of present cameras is bothersome. A salesman has recommended a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with a Tamron 28-300mm zoom lens or for more durability, a Nikon N60 with the same lens. The weight of the Canon appeals to me but it looks flimsy next to the Nikon. I am also concerned that a range of 28-300mm is too much to ask from one lens. I travel a bit and photograph scenery, nature, and architecture. I also take family snapshots. Does anyone have any recommendations?
