Choosing a Lens for a Pentax ZX-M
I'm about to buy my first camera: a Pentax ZX-M. I've looked at the camera with a Promaster 28-70/ 3.5-5.6 lens, but am wondering if a Pentax 28-80/3.5-5.6 would be a suitable substitution. I heard that the Pentax zoom lenses aren't quite as good as they used to be, but I don't know how true that is. I can afford to buy the Pentax lens easier than I can to buy the Tamron lens, but don't want to totally sacrifice quality. Thanks for the help.

Heather, Pentax has been a pioneer of fine optics. My choice would be the Pentax over the Promaster, and you'll have an extra 10mms besides. Best to you, Chuck
