Action Shots in Gym
I have a Pentax MZ-30 with a Sigma 28-200, 3.4-5.6, aspherical lens. My problem is that in some situations there is not enough light to shoot at a fast enough shutter speed. Would an external flash work when taking these fast photos. And if so, what type of flash would be the best to buy (while not spending an arm or leg). Thanks in advance.

A flash would help a lot. The best flash for the money is the Vivitar 283. Its very powerful and you can get a new one for around $60-$70.
