Kalena, I got an EP on the 7th, in Catch-all. But I don't know if they've done all the categories for the 7th. You could go to the "Recent Contest Entries" page and just scroll thru each category and look for yourself...it's tedious, though. If you see some people start getting them on the 8th, then it's probably a safe bet that BP is thru with the 7th. However, this is not a hard/fast rule because many people reported EPs a few days ago for early December, long after BP had done their initial pass through.

Betty Ann, I know the feeling. I stopped entering for a while and tried again the last week or so of January but nothing. I know it shouldn't make a difference but it does offer encouragement. They are moving fast. I got quite a few EPs over night, with the last one on the 25th. On the December EP thread, Jim Miotke said that BP was going to improve the timing for the contest. Who knows, maybe we'll see Staff Favs by the middle of the month with Finalists by the 21st..a return to yesterday. :-)

Jill had mentioned to Joannie and me that it was easy to start the new Month's thread for the EPs, Finalists, Winners, and Judges' Favorites. As February is already seeing some EPs, there are going to be requests to start it immediately. I've decided not to do it. Hopefully, this won't be construed as a negative and removed. It's just a heads up that someone else needs to step up to the plate.

Their timing is improving quite a bit. Now, if only they'd stop jumping around. Once, they skipped my first five entries and gave an EP for 01/06 - I figured that was it, and didn't return. Checking back all the time is pretty depressing. At least, I did check after receiving an email notification about a comment on one of mine. It had an EP that wasn't there before. That's when I found the new EPs for three of the five ones that were skipped earlier.

No. and Nope. We can give you very general parameters - through the years the finalists have been posted as early as mid-month (even earlier, once, I think) and as late as a day or so into the next month. More recently, they are quite late in the month but by the end of the month. But you can be assured that they will be selected and posted :)
