Wide Angle Lens

I am interested in buying my first wide angle lens. I have a Canon EOS 20D slr camera and not sure what is the best one to buy. One that I will use for a long time seing the prices of them. Input on this will be great.

I loved the Canon 17-40L for 16-35L...used them all the time.

The EF 17-40 f/4L USM and EF 16-35 f/2.8L USM are terrific lenses, but they aren't particularly wide angle on a 20D. The usual suspects are the EF-S 10-22 f/3.5-4.5 USM, Sigma 10-22 f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM, Tokina 12-24 f/4 DX.

I have the Sigma 10-22mm F4-5.6 lens and I like it! It's cheaper than some of the other "usual suspects."
