Wehere can I find slide flim?

I have a portfolio due in september for school and I need to start working on it. And they would like to have the photos on slide flim.. But I'm not sure where to buy it. Can you get it anywhere or do you have to go somewhere like Ritz/ Wolff camera?

Also I was wondering if I've already got prints of some of the pictures that I'm wanting to use can I turn those into slides so how also?

I'm sure most people here would agree that bhphoto.com is the best place for selection and price. I've found that film at Ritz camera is wayyyy over-priced for most films. The only way I can think to turn an actual print into a slide is to take a picture of it with slide film, but maybe someone else can elaborate a little more. If you have the negative there are probably other options that will deliever a higher quality image, but chances are such a custom work is expensive. Hope I helped you out somewhat, Jordan.

Try Hunt Photo for your slide film also:

If you only need a few rolls though, you may be better off getting them at a local retail outlet and saving on the shipping costs. Any reputable camera shop carries Kodak Ecktachrome and the entire Fuji line of slide films. (I recommend Fuji over Kodak, but that's just me.)

Stay away from Kodachrome unless you are prepared to endure the hassles of special processing.

As far as getting a slide from a print,...Jordan is correct that you can re-shoot the print with slide film.
A copy-stand type of setup will produce adequate results, with two incandescent light sources at 45 degrees, and the camera shooting straight down to the print. Use a tungsten-balanced slide film to prevent color shifts. (A pro lab can do a better job with this, but it will be costly.)
Whether you do this yourself or not,...some image detail and clarity of the original print will be lost.

Hello, I agree with Jordan. B&H PhotoVideo is the place. I've been ordering photo products from them since 1982 and have never been disappointed.
www.bhphotovideo.com. Good Luck!!
