  only thing I can tell you is that it's a network or net like, like the veins of a leaf are reticulated. And it also means an intersecting or connected system of components. Like a computer network.

  What is reticulation:- It normaly happens during proccessing of B&W film
when you go from warm develper warm wash and then Ice Cold fixer!! about a 20 deg C drop will do it!!! Shoot a roll of B&W film and proccess with Ice cold fixer FP4 works best.
