Exposure Compensation ?
Could someone please help me to understand exposure compensation settings. All I know that it is a + or -exposure setting. Why is it used, When should it be used, and how much of it + or - does one use. I'm very confused over this.

Peter, thank you so much.I went to the web site you listed and have printed it out. It all makes sense now. My onlt other question, would you still use exposure compensation if you were using a TTL Auto Flash on your camera. Thanks Again
