Can anyone give me some good critisism of my photo
I'm wondering if my pictures are really bad, my husband gave my this camera for my birthday last year and he says that I schould learn more. Thats way I'm here, to see all your lovely pics and to get good our bad respons. PLZ would be nice whit tips.regards Lena from Sweden

We can all improve on our photos...that's why we are all here too. There is a lot to learn and lots of nice people at this site that are more than happy to help.
From my personal opinion, I think these photos are beautiful. Your composition and subject are wonderful.

Hi Lena... definitely good for someone who just got a digicam. Great subject, framing, and no distracting elements or backgrounds. My two suggestions are: 1. Make sure you get a really sharp focus (you might be a tad too close for your camera to focus properly... the top two pics are just a bit blurry). 2. The pics need to be brightened or boldened a bit. No sure what software you have... but the white sheets should be white, and right now they look grayish blue. If you have a program that can only do brightness and contrast, try a little of both. If you have a Curves tool, that would work a lot better-- email me if you want to learn how to use that. You have a really good start... keep shooting... Hope that helps,

I really hope you don't mind that I "borrowed" your picture for a second (don't worry, it's only for this demonstration). Here's what I did.1. I used Curves to brighten up the picture a bit and make the color better. (In Photoshop, go to Image > Adjust > Curves and make the curve into a mild "S" shape.) Adjusting the Brightness/Contrast may work also, but usually not as well as Curves. Now you can see more detail in the fur. Before it was too dark to see detail in some of the places. Also, now the white is white, not bluish gray. 2. I used a bit of Unsharp Mask to sharpen the photo a little bit. Let me know if you any questions. I hope that helps. Nancy

Thanx Nancy! I love what you did to the pic, and i'v learnd a lot. I think I have to invest in a better camera soon*smiling* I take round about 200-300 pics a week, i'm going to show you how it look in the begining. It warms my heart that you gave me some of your time I like I said learnd a lot. Lena
