Contest Entries
I have forgotten which images I have submitted and to which categories I submitted them. Is there some way to look this up without going through each and every category?

Hi Sally, I have been trying to get the same answer for a couple of days. Good Luck, I will let you know if I hear anything. Probably a simple answer. Bob-Denver

I dont know if this is the easiest way, but go to the camera that you have taken the pics with & search from there. It will narrow down the search time anyway!! Good Luck! Angie

you can see all your images if you go to get a web site and then click memeber gallery as if you want to get one set up... this page will display all you have enterrd into the contest... you can not get to your pics from there but maybe this will help a bit... well hoping it will... Jill :)

The above ways will allow you to find your pictures, but I don't know of a way to find out if they've been entered in the contest or into what category without searching through the contest entries. One thing that I found useful was to use the "Find" command to search out my name on each of the entry pages. Using this method you can at least find which photos you entered. Once you get going, you can also judge approximately how many pages it will be until your name shows up again. I think you'll just have to remember which category, at least with this method. Maybe Jim or Heather will know a way to easily tell which photos you've entered. I usually just keep a record by my computer. Pam

It's also easy to jot them down on a piece of paper each month..(title, date, category). I start a new page each month.

Thanks everybody. Pam, I couldn't find "find." And Bob, that's too easy. No actually, I'll do that from here on out. I wasn't thinking.

"Find" should be in your browser's menu. On my browser, it's under "Edit." It basically searches the webpage that you're on. Usually you can simply hit "Find again" or similar command on each subsequent page. The command may be called "Find on Page" as well. Pam

I think you found the one from yesterday (Loon) and the day before (synchronized duck butts). I've just managed to post something for today (it's been storming and we've had a scheduled power outage and I'm packing to move back home after a summer stay at a research station!). It's in "Humor." Here's a link: http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGallDetail.php?cat=560&photoID=505570 Pam

From what I can tell, having a gallery won't tell you which photos you've entered, especially if you're entering ones you've already downloaded.... Is there somewhere in the gallery that lets you know what you've actually entered into the contest? I plan to get a gallery as soon as I get back to making instead of just spending money..... I'm on a 10 month salary, so 2 months of all savings.... Until then, I'll just have to keep writing down the photo numbers. Pam

another way until you get yourself a gallery is to always go in and make a comment about your pic after you post it... that way you will get an email sent to you that gives you the link to it... I have made a seperate file named BP-Entry Links in my outlook express... that way I can get to them if need be... know having your gallery set up will make it much easier but I also can't do it for at least another month due to some tech stuff but as soon as that is out of the way I will have one...lol Jill :)

I keep a Word document on my computer with the date, the file name of the photo, its' BP ID number and what category I entered it into. Takes a second to update, you don't have to go find your piece of paper and you have a record of which photos have been entered. Hope this helps!

Thank you for all the suggestions. "Find" works great. I do have a gallery, Jill, but when I go through it, I can't tell which was I entered in the contest. Anyway, it's a small matter, easily resolved. Thanks again. Sally
