Editing from Disk
Is it possible to edit pictures on a CD? I'm going on a trip, and may not necessarily want to copy all pix to my computer, from my camera. So can I copy to CD and still edit them and then copy the edited version to my computer? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Sure. Once an image is on a CD, it can be brought into a computer and then edited. You just will not be able to hit Save to put it back on the CD. You will need to save it to a hard drive and then "burn" it back to the same or another CD depending on your CD burner.

If you use a CDRW you can edit right on the disk. Otherwise you can bring it in the computer, edit it and burn it back to another CD too. Once you have fianalized a CD you cannot write to them again.

CD's are cheap, use many of them. After you edit, save as, and then add a character after the file number. I use e for(edited). You can then save on the Raw file CD and the numbers will stack in sequence. You can also burn to a new CD or save on your desktop and drag to a folder. Another neat idea is that once autoplay recognizes the files on the CD you can go to my computer, and the D or E drive and open the files. Highlight all of them and then go to file, preview. You now have a slideshow. I mark down the files that are good so later I don't have to waste time opening all files in photoshop to select the best ones. Good Luck
