Choosing the Right Tripod What do you think is a good all around choice for a tripod/tripod head combination that will work well for backpacking, landscape/travel and portrait work? I currently use a Manfrotto with a 2-way head and have found this limiting on many occasions. Thanks!

Eric: Consider the Gitzo mountaineering tripods: gitzo.com then go the "product" link. You will also want to go to a ball style head. I imagine your 2-way is driving you a bit nuts at times! Consider the Kirk BH-3 which is small, but appropriate for lighter lenses and smaller tripods: kirkphoto.com . Good luck!

Thanks Tony. Gitzo/Kirk combo seems to be the hot item - I'll give it a try.
