Pricing Prints
I am getting interested in selling my photographs now and was wondering about the price at which to sell them. I'm particularly interested in selling my smoke series pictures which will be printed at about 20" by 20" (other sizes will be available, but this is the optimal size). I was wondering if the experienced sellers out there could look at my work and give me price ranges. I'm only fifteen and am not expecting to sell at expensive prices and I'm not even sure if people will be interested in my work. I know that at this time I should focus more on taking pictures rather than selling them but I would still like to have my photographs for sale. I will sell to anyone (family friends, hippie stores, magazines). Anyway, heres the link to my smoke photography. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=405345 (more to come soon)Also check out the rest of my pics here. http://www.photo.net/photodb/member-photos?user_id=1003538&include=all danny www.kongos.com/danny

A photo seminar I went to taught that you should calculate every cent it costs you to make and deliver that print, and then multiply by at least 3.

That sounds pretty good considering my most expensive print will be from $20-$30 to make (not including framing). Thanks, danny www.kongos.com/danny

Well, I don't feel so alone now. I am 14 and have been taking pictures ever since I can remember, but not all of them turned out or were worth selling. I wish I knew about pricing too, but we are both just learning. Keep up doing what you love. Take care, Fawn
