Photography Question

Frank P. Luongo

A good Basic Photography book

I already own "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Pterson which is fantastic.

However, I am looking for something more fundamental.

What are your thoughts on Jim Miotke's "Absolute Beginner's Guide to Taking Great Photos" and "Mastering Light" by Jim Zuckerman?

Thanks in advance
Frank

I don't know anything about the books you are asking about specifically, but it may help to look on Amazon.com at their reviews along with whatever you hear from people here to get an idea of what the books are like. However, the best book I have found on ALL aspects of photography is "The Photographers Handbook" by John Hedgecoe. I call this book my bible and have referenced it over and over- it covers so much information. If you're looking for a book strictly on exposure and lighting this may not be the one you want, but it does have some good information and ideas in it about that. It also has tons of pictures to show you what the finished product looks like, and shows you the set up for how to do the technique yourself.

Just a thought...
