Hi Susan, I see that this has been partially answered in another question It is often difficult to get really sharp images and the possible causes are too numerous to mention. On the top of the list, though, you might be using too low of an ISO equivalent. If your DC4800 allows you to control this setting, try setting it higher. You can also experiment with using a tripod. Lastly, you can often correct a slight amount of unsharpness by using the Unsharp Mask filter in Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Hope that helps a bit,
