My Nikon N65
I have had my Nikon N65 for about 9 months. I was wondering if it was possible to override the automatic iso setting. I havent found it (if it is possible) in the manual. So I was wondering if there was any way possible.

From what I understood by a Nikon Representive and from what others has told me, plus playing with the N65 myself, there is no way to override the ISO on the N65 that I know of and from what I have heard by talking to other people in the photography business.

You can get the same effect using exposure compensation. Many photographers like to rate Fuji Velvia at 40 rather than its recommended ISO 50 to get less saturated colors. That is the same as setting +1/3 exposure compensation. If you're looking to push process a 400 speed film that was shot at ISO 800 or 1600, that's the same as -1 and -2 EC. The N65 allows exposure compensation in only 1/2 stop steps, so for the Velvia example you could get close by setting +1/2, which would be equivalent to setting ISO 35 (only 1/6th stop difference from ISO 40). I assume you'll want the ISO/EC adjustment to apply to the whole roll of film. Some cameras will retain the EC setting until you change it, even after switching off. Others will reset to 0 EC when switched off, or maybe even after each shot. Check you N65 manual or try it on your camera to see how long it will retain the EC setting.
