Operating in manual mode
I'm having trouble using my Canon EOS-3 in the manuual mode. The pictures are usually soft in focus and either under or over exposed. Moved up from a Nikon FA and Minolta X-700 to the Canon EOS-3 System. Was overseas and got a great deal on the camera, read the book thoroughly and the magic lantern books as well but I'm not satisfied at all with the results. Had a shop check out the camera and found no defects an anyone offer simple instructions for using in manual mode. All photo's were taken in the auto focus mode.

The metering mode should have nothing to do with the focus. What were you shooting (subject and conditions)? What lens are you using? Did you use a tripod? How did you meter? Can you post samples?
